I have a VW camper with a large amount of damage on the right the side of the vehicle. It requires three panels to be replaced.
I have full cover insurance on the vehicle-QBE insurance has accepted the claim. I approached your reception staff today asked if there was any person available to have a look at my van and give QBE a quote. I was asked for my claim number. I explained that I didn't have the claim number, however I had with me a copy of my insurance policy, documents of ownership and the vehicle in question parked outside. As I didn't have a mobile phone with me, I indicated that I could get a copy of my claim number if my insurance company could be contacted. I hit a kangaroo travelling from Canberra to Nowra. I went into Ross Askew smash repairs for an initial assessment. They were extremely helpful. They looked at the car and assessed that it would be safe to drive back to Canberra and get someone to fix it closer to home. I didn't pay for the assessment, and had they not been honest I would have had to leave the car to get fixed and hired a car to get to canberra and then find a way back to pick it up. It left me wishing I lived in the area so I could give them my business.
