Rox Cafe Bar

Visited on a busy weekend. Service is good and friendly but the waiting time was around 40 minutes for display sandwiches which only need to be reheated the oven. Took our own menu and no one came to take the order. Food only came out 10 minutes after we asked for them. The staff were apologetic and remained professional. Food was ok. The management need to be more organised and prepared for busy times. It didn't seem to be short-staffed, only need to be more efficient.

I really like it when I attend a cafe and order a large long black, that the barista actually checks with me what I'd like and how I prefer my coffee, rather than just pretentiously assuming they know. On my visit here, the barista asked how I would like my coffee and described the coffee he'd make - we made an adjustment then agreed on it. Very good service, good coffee, quick and good price. The environment here is good for very relaxed Sunday mornings - the sun streams in and it's nice. There's only one problem for me - the tables might look classy with their marble tops and heavy wrought iron pedestals, but there was not enough room to put my legs comfortably under the table. I found myself sitting awkwardly sideways, which was a little uncomfortable. I'm not sure if others will find this though. The cafe is in a good location and has a calm ambience for talking.
