Royal Exchange Hotel

Kind of gross but incredibly cheap. Maybe worth it if you're a broke uni student.

The re is your typical uni bar. Cheap prices but doesn't have much else going for it other than it's proximity to the train station.

The major drawback of the re isn't the poor facilities (you kind of expect that from a uni bar) it's the poor live music. It's really loud so you don't get to ignore it and it's the same two dozen talentless songs you hear every time you go there. My mates and I bet beers on how long after we get there they are going to play "wonderwall".

The RE Hotel is the best pub in Brisbane. You always feel welcome there, beer prices are excellent, atmosphere is awesome, karaoke and other weekly promos are great fun and the company is terrific. It's our local pub and we live 30minutes away!

The RE is a traditional watering hole for uni students looking to have fun after or during class. The set up is not the best, as it gets crowded during weekends, but the atmosphere is electric. Specials are very rare, and the beer prices are fairly standard.
