Located on the main thoroughfare that is Piper Street. It is serves pub food on a nicer level. The service is friendly and as it's a smaller town, a smaller more personable service.
We had House Made IPA Damper, Old School Chicken Parma, King George Beef Burger and the pasta special of Linguine Sauté With Atlantic Salmon. The damper was served warm and it was fluffy and came with a lovely herb butter. Unfortunately it had slightly too much bicarbonate of soda in it so made it slightly bitter. The parma was nice and crunchy. It came topped with a tasty tomato sauce and ham. Gooey cheese completed it. A nice salad and chips came with it. The burger was pretty good and came with a decent serving of chunky chips. Linguine was tasty with nice chunks of salmon throughout.

It also has a really nice country feel about it, and sure enough the staff are what you would come to expect from a country pub – very friendly, helpful, and incredibly chatty. This pub has a couple of dining rooms, and a ...read more
Went on a holiday last week, and I stayed here the entire duration of my trip. Hotel was very clean and the staff were helpful as can be expected. A bit old fashioned with their interior designs, and their gym was very small, but other than that this is a great place to stay.
