Royal Hotel

This isn't one of those pubs that I have frequented all that often. I did come here with some friends once, but that is probably about it (though I may have had a couple of beers here at other times but I can't really remember). Well, actually I do vaguely remember, partly because it used to be one of those pubs frequented by university students, though those days seem to have long gone (they have moved up the road to the Maid & Magpie). The pub itself was okay, but not overtly fantastic. There is a nice beer garden, and quite a large restaurant in the front area (which used to be the main bar). These days it simply seems to be one of those quiet little pubs, though I'm sure the crowds are going to flock back here again sooner or later.
