Had to spend another day in emergency with my condition only to get a ct brain scan which seemed to be given to some there, after I tried to explain several times what has been happening, triage was ok, Ed was rather questionable, had to help nurse to find where her patient was, as she didn't know, Clerk kept winging about how much work was left for her from others in front of patients, noone seemed to care about patients even sending home everyone without them really knowing what was a wrong and the food did not look appealing at all. Level of care factor for pts was nil. And nobody ever wants to go there unless they have to, discharged at 9pm without any diagnosis or results to follow up with my own drs. Very tiring , ?? they all just seemed to want to go home. I just wanted results and I hate going there.
Last night, triage was quick, first Dr was good, from 12.00ish, waiting with shaking body till about 5ish and moved up to Ed wasn't told anything, by anyone, to have a ctbrain scan which I didn't know about have had one recently, noone listened, no consent form. Last Dr didn't know anything I'm very tired and teary.
My son had a swelled up hand and he came to RNSH, he was the for about 2 days and we were very lucky to Come to this hospital because they caught an infection early and started giving antibiotics but if the Infection spread to the bone the would have to do surgery. Overall it is a very good hospital.
I was there in RNSH (Emergency department) yesterday with chest pain having heart attack symptoms, my GP took ECG and asked me to go to hospital immediately, as soon as they know I don't have private health insurance they just kicked me out. I am at home taking my own medicines and still in pain. Worst hospital they discriminate according to how wealthy you are and what is the color of your skin, and they don't hide it either it is on your face, being educated people and having taking tax payers money as wages I did not expect this from such a big hospital.
The doctor completely blocked her ears when I was describing my discomfort and suffering, very keen on kicking me out of the hospital ASAP, all she was saying is go back to GP. Doctor don't understand I was there in the first place because GP asked me to go there. I had to walk slowly back to train station and took ...read more
Very clean, light and welcoming hospital that has been given a great facelift in the last 5 years and was renovated well.
Both my children were delivered here and have unfortunately had to make a few trips to the emergency departments. Happy to say all experiences have been really positive in terms of service and overall care.
One of the better hospitals in Sydney and would be my first pick to go to if given the choice for my own personal care.
Parking can be quite easy - on the weekend there is free parking on the highway which is a similar distance to the parking station (from emergency at least).
