This has been the worst insurance experience of my life. After being a customer for over 10 years, when trying to cancel the policy I could no longer afford, I've been told that because a small claim, barely more than the monthly premium was paid in this period of insurance, I have to pay out the remainder of the policy period. I cannot cancel. This is buried in the policy wording and never has been mentioned when policy was taken out, at renewal or on the phone. I have paid over $10k in premium and they won't even cancel my policy. If I could given them negative stars I would. Avoid like the plague.
Do not get this insurance for your pet.
Been with rspca pet insurance for just over a year. Had a $380 vet bill and I put in a claim which took 3 weeks to come back. When it did was for 260. Called in to have the policy cancelled and was told that because I made a claim, that if I wanted to cancel the policy I'd have to pay out the rest of the policy til September which is $357. Otherwise my policy couldn't be cancelled and I'd have the $59 a month taken out til September as is.
Horrible customer service and if you do make a claim on any policy and you want to leave you will have to pay out the remaining time, which they will then tell you it's in there policy details. But certainly not on the FAQ page.
Don't be fooled, because it says rspca that it's run by the rspca. It's run by he Hollard Insurance Company and they don't care at all about you or your pet.
