I would pass this cafe quite regularly and I have to admit that it actually looks like an old pub that is, well, no longer a pub (in fact I've found a couple of buildings like that in Clifton Hill, but that is beside the point). Anyway, everytime I past it I noticed that it was shut, so I decided to set aside one morning before work to check it out. It was certainly worth it. The staff were absolutely lovely and the pancake stack was nothing short of awesome. Basically this is a morning cafe, best suited for breakfast, though the do offer a lunch menu as well (but it closes as around 4:00 so you will have to look for some place else or dinner, which isn't a problem in Clifton Hill). Mind you it does get pretty packed in here in the morning (though you can still find a seat) and there certainly was a steady stream of people coming in through the door. Certainly a place I would visit again, especially if I lived in the area.
