Rubi Hair Richmond

I had the worst experience in the Richmond salon with Georgia. I asked for ombré on my blonde hair and she turned it Mousey brown\orange. They agreed for me to comeback and see them only to tell me that they can darken the top and try and wash out some of the bottoms for my blonde to try and come through again as they didn't feel comfortable lightning my hair with bleach. I ended up getting a refund as I did it trust them to touch my hair at this point. They didn't refund my treatment I got though as it was 'good for my hair'! I thought you have ruined my hair and I cannot go back to blonde and u have put me through a this stress and u are stingy with $40! What was unbelievable is the way Georgia tried to make believe that, that is wa hat I asked for! No I did not ask for Mousey brown\orange hair! Im the sort of guy that usually gets a haircut maybe once or twice a year but after going in and seeing Michelle I left so satisfied with the cut that i'm actually re-booking my next visits before i leave. The salon has a very clean funky vibe to it and Michelle makes you like an old friend. I've recommend Rubi Hair to all the girls at work who have swapped from their current hairdresser and would never go back. I couldn't recommend Rubi Hair Richmond any more highly so do yourself a favour and get yourself a cut. See you next week Michelle!!

I don't normally write these reviews, but my experience at Rubi has been one to note. I've attended the same stylist for over a decade in America. When I moved here, I asked around for a great salon and multiple friends and coworkers suggested I go to Rubi. Seeing they had a brand new location close to my home, I booked in (only a week in advance) and they fit me right into their schedule. I had Emily and she gave me an amazing full cut and colour and I looked like a "new and improved me" when I walked out. About a week later, I received a phone call from Michelle, the salon owner, asking me how I went. After some evaluation, I had decided to give feedback that I would like my highlights to be a little lighter in colour. Again, they fit me right into their schedule and I was seen the NEXT day. Love the vibe in this salon! As I'm new to the area, I walked by this salon and the stylists immediately invited me to come and have a look inside the salon. I ended up booking an appointment with Stephan, and he gave me one of the best colours I have ever had! He suggested we do something new as I was bored with my hair, and everything he said was clearly thought through with careful consideration towards my hair, and the results showed! The consultation was very personalized and Stephan and his assistant Taylor really made me feel at home in the salon.

Loved it! Will absolutely be coming back!
