One of the longest standing cafes in Miranda Westfield, it has an open plan space & now a kids corner next door which is fantastic for those with kids & prams. Food is consistently good with their sweet potato fries a standout. Perhaps one of the top 3 I have had in fact. They also stock a huge array of Oregano bakery scrolls which are so hard to go past. Add a good coffee, juice or thickshake & both young & old are happy.
My daughter and i had breakfast yeserday morning .We have breakfast on a regular basis and I was very unhappy with the service,3 times between us and the lady behind us the wait staff got the order wrongand on returning the food to the kitchen we heared the cook/chef state :'They can wait' That was not the biggist thing the staff returned our breakfast burger to the washup area and then processed to state they dont care we will eat it anyway not the thing for the customer to see or hear Think its time for more training for the staff and mybe management to review operations at this cafe
Taking up some large floor space in Miranda, Rubyniks looks trendy, happening and is run my staff which look the part.
The set up, furniture pieces and layout is all open planned and makes the best for a cafe which is located in the middle of Westfield level. Whilst they look the part, looks can be deceiving as I can only really describe this place as average.
I've attempted to eat here once and have gotten takeaway a few time to see is anything improves, but it seems like their customer service and prices need a thorough review. The coffee is average to say the least and the prices are as high or beyond what you would find in a fine Surry Hills cafe.
But if you're into that, give it a crack. I've found some better food and coffee at less trendy places in the center.
I always find this cafe so busy. I recently had lunch here and was pleased with the service and the menu selection. I haven't tried the breakfast but the menu looked pretty good too. Im so glad they recently began selling Krispy Kreme donuts at the counter.. the apple pie ones are delish.
If you're a truly fussy coffee drinker, and you MUST have coffee with your food, this is not the place for you.
Having said that, if you can forgo coffee with a meal and/or are not that fussed, this place will more than make up for it with its food (for the record, I'm pretty fussy about coffee - ex-barista fussy, and I still come here).
The menu has all your basic cafe fare - burgers, melts, etc. But it also goes above and beyond, especially with its breakfast menu (french toast with cinnamon, sugar and caramelised banana, anyone?) I have honestly salivated just from reading the descriptions of the dishes.
I recently had the most amazingly perfect eggs benedict here on the weekend - completely faultless. I have never ever had a meal here that wasn't less ...read more
