The authentic traditional Indonesian home cooking is freshly made and consumed daily with minimal or no processed, canned or preserved foods, which means there is a minimal amount of preservatives and sodium.

If you want an authentic Indonesian experience of delicious food, and the hospitality of a Jakartan family, then this is the right place. We had a family party with 10 adults and 3 children, and everyone loved it. The decor is simple, just like it would be in Indonesia. The food was all enak sekali (very yummy), with generous pricing and very friendly service. Rendang, bakso, sate, gado-gado, lemongrass chicken, mie goreng, and much more - the menu is on their website. Good value!
Rumah Indo is one of the newest Indonesian Restaurants in the Kingsford-Kensington area that deserves a mention. Occupying a place that used to be a Chinese restaurant, Rumah Indo has an intimate atmosphere with simple table-and-chair settings you would normally see in the area.
The restaurant serves an extensive range of Indonesian food, ranging from the snack foods like rissoles and pastels, main foods like beef balls and fish cakes with noodles, all different kinds of chicken, vegetarian dishes, soups, up to the rice dishes which are quite of the popular options for when you want to have a little bit of everything without having to share.
