S & D Cabinets

If you value your health and finances avoid this company. Quoted 2-3 weeks to produce a kitchen and requested 50% deposit to start. Didn't start for 5 months after receiving the deposit. Poor quality and numerous errors made. Now 24 months later 9 of which have been in litigation and still have NO part of this kitchen. We have been without a kitchen at our property for at least 20 of these months. S&D have never apologised for their delays.

Our new laundry looks great. Sheena at S & D cabinets is very down to earth, and provided an efficient service at a very competitive price. Our laundry was delivered on time, and all cabinets were an excellent fit. Sheena co-ordinated other tradespeople to come and do their bit too. There were a couple of hiccups, as in most home projects, but these were all sorted out to our satisfaction with no fuss. After we had commissioned S & D to make our cabinets we made a last minute decision to retile the floor, which Sheena co-ordinated. We did have a misunderstanding about the costs associated with this, which would have been avoided if I had asked for a new quote. Lesson learned!

Terrible!
Everything will happen at the pace that they promise, until you pay a deposit.
You will then be shoved to the end of the line and have your phone calls ignored.

Very keen to do the work and could start when we wanted and we were told it would take about 4 days. It total over the 7 weeks that we were without a completed kitchen I estimate they worked for a total of 4 days. The management of the business constantly said they would follow things up and get back to us and didn't to the point of not taking notice of the colour scheme we had agreed on and at the last minute the tradesman asked me about what colour we wanted. We had paid the deposit a month before the due date of demolition of old kitchen but clearly no work was done until they came to demolish the old. Consequently we had 3 weeks before Xmas living off our dining room table with a non functioning kitchen and stuff spread around the other rooms of the house. We had to get the kitchen back into some order for Xmas even though it was not finished. Wonderful service. A truly beautiful finish on my Kitchen. I'll be certainly using them again when we are up to renovating our bathroom.
