I have been a patient at SA Heart for almost 10 years. I have never received anything but the Best possible care, empathy and respect from both the Medical and Administration Staff. No, I am not some sort of self-styled "professional", I am just an ordinary member of the public with a cardiac problem. I do not doubt that at times a cardiologist might be stressed out but that stress could be being caused by some of the patients! When we are on medication, for any long-term physical or mental problem, if a doctor suggests, either indirectly or directly, that we may not have been taking our meds as prescrbed they are probably spot-on with that diagnosis!

My first Cardiologist was highly strung. It just left me feeling uncomfortable. Though he obviously is highly skilled and got the job done. I changed to another Cardiologist After a few visits i could not feel satisfied with this one either. I didn't appreciate being spoken to in a condescending manner and on two ocassions even being indirectly and directly accused in not liking to take my medication. On my last visit i nearly ended up having a debate with this Cardiologist. I don't know what it is with some of the. Medical profession and why some seem to feel they can just go about treating people in a condescending way? I felt more like a task to be seen than rather as a person.
