My wife and I went to this cafe yesterday for a simple cup of coffiee each and a piece of banana bread. Sounds simple, but the coffiees came out without the heated up banana bread. we could do nothing else but drink our cuppa without the bread ( in preference to drinking a cold cup ) ..... I waved the number on a stick around till finally I got the staff members attention. I asked where the banana bread was... they said it will come soon. by then we had both finished our coffiee and had to eat the bread/cake without enjoying our coffie with it. Sadly this is not the only time this has happend to us at this Cafe. It actually happend the previous time we were there a few months prior. We obviously won't be going back there.
Coming from experiencing the owners prior establishments around the coast, we knew Sage would shine and does ! Since taking over this Sage, the owner has put it on the map as a premium lunchtime venue for the many local business owners that are spoilt with gourmet specials, try the Ceasar salad and authentic pastas that will make you feel like your in an Italian grandmothers kitchen.
Welcoming staff and really great food keep its regulars.
