Sage Restaurant

Visited on a Saturday night when in Canberra with friends. At first I was a bit concerned as we had to wade our way through a party outside, but once inside all good. Service eas efficient and helpful and they catered well for my vegetarian friend. The party outside was pretty rowdy (drunk) towards the end if the night and was the only negative part of the evening.

Sage is really nice and I'm so glad I went there. The menu is really good with the food being brought out being even better.

I found the menu to be very tempting and the new lay-out very inviting. Once the food started to come out my apetite grew even more, as it smelt so good and looked picture perfect. We did have a bit of a long wait for aspects of service, but I enjoyed coming here.

Each time I've been here, the food has been great, with a flair shown by the chefs, it has been the service which has on occasion brought my opinion of the place down. Not big disappointments, but just not on par with the food, or the price tag that it all comes with.

Please take my advice and book your table at Sage now! This hidden gem, located in the Gorman House Arts Centre, serves subtle, French-inspired dishes using gormet local produce. The lunch and dinner menus offer a range of delights each paired with a suggested wine. But for a real treat, try the degustation - 6 courses of utter bliss!

Be aware - Sage seats just 40 people, and tends to book out quite early, especially for weekend dinners.
