So we checked into our hotel and headed out to eat lunch. Walking along Surfers Paradise blvd with the intention of finding a restaurant along Cavill ave, the thought of having a kebab crossed my mind when we walked past Sahara Kebab. Back tracked into the restaurant and you'll find about 6 booths that could seat 6 people in each. The kebabs were getting cooked behind a glass to the left of the counter. What seems like an oven warmer located on the right, that was filled with assorted flavoured turkish pides and something else I didn't recognise. We ordered a lamb kebab from the counter and a serving of hot chips. The kebab was brought out fairly quickly as expected but the chips took a little while. I'm guessing the shop had only just opened for the day and the deep fryer hadn't reached its operating temperature yet. The chips finally served, it was piping hot and overdone with salt.
