Went here for dinner at the Ilkari restaurant. It is a buffet style, but incredibly nice - thhre was is an interactive chef station in the middle and they had a fish of the day, roo kebabs and lamb cutlets - each cooked to your liking. The salad bar was extremely impressive and so was the selection of desserts and quality at the dessert bar. Highly recommend this place if you are visiting Uluru.
Had a truly lovely experience recently when attending the Business Chicks first conference at Sails in the Desert.
The first room I was allocated had a key that didn't work and a Do Not Disturb sign on the door, but I was quickly changed to a different room, which was fine. As part of the Accor Advantage Plus club I was able to take advantage of the high speed internet too.
The dinner on site outside was lovely and servers ensured all those with food allergies were taken care of - no mean feat with 90 women to get through.
The conference facility room was good but had a couple of issues with heating / cooling to keep everyone happy.

The hotel is impressive with its modern architecture and stunning views of the desert. The rooms are spacious and modern and the food was excellent. It is fairly pricey due to lack of competition but the dramatic scenery makes it worthwhile. Organising tours was easy and staff was helpful.
