I was recommended this place by some work colleagues who have been a few times which we decided to eventually give it a shot. Given how busy the place was at lunch, I was quite impressed with how efficient, fast and friendly the service was. The food came out promptly, not too long of a wait given how busy they were. We ordered 4 different dishes all came out nicely presented and I thought the servings was quite generous. I ordered the lamb shank, a nice warm dish for Melbourne’s colder days, it was quite divine the dish and filling. Overall, impressed and would return again and defiantly recommend others.
Team decided to come here for after work drinks. Great selection of craft beers, they also do big portions of your standard choices of pub food. Atmosphere is cosy and has an old English feel to it. Not a bad choice if you want to stay in doors and not having to find food after a few beers.
Back by popular demand, i think Saint and Rogues did a fantastic job last time i was here that i am back again with no questions asked. I think the highlight from last experience was the choc pudding which i very much enjoyed that i ordered it again this time and indeed it tastes the same just how i remembered it. Service is fantastic, staff are prompt and attentive. Our mains came out nice and hot, the duck dish and the pie was absolutely delicious. The sauce for the duck was full of flavour and the mash potato was different but it was good. I can count in being back here knowing that i will enjoy my dining every time. Awesome atmosphere downstairs where the main bar is with music and videos on the projector and upstairs is the main dining area which is slightly less noisy.
Team day = team lunch and one of my colleagues booked us in to enjoy Saint & Rogue's menu. Such an english antique style restaurant/pub which does give it an oldish feel yet very cosy atmosphere. I ordered the 250gram steak which comes with your choice of chips and salad or mash and veggies. The steak was cooked perfect to how i enjoy it and the chips were crunchy. The mushroom sauce i wish i had a bit more than what was on my plate but in saying that the flavour of the steak being juicy made up for it. I cleaned up my plate and looking around the table, my colleagues also cleaned up. The waiter was very friendly and very helpful with choices from the menu. With a few wine drinkers on the table her recommendation helped suit each meal that was ordered. Meals all came out at the same time so everyone was eating and enjoying their dish together. I was so full but i had to try their choc pudding. Yum. So soft and warm and delicious. That made my day as it ...read more
