The woman was shockingly rude and deranged
Told me ..”she would not even wear the designer dress I tried on for alterations to the toilet” I felt really vulnerable and bullied . Could not wait to get out
Highly unpleasant.. this woman should consider quitting as she is obviously past it and very unhappy
I honestly thought Id stepped into the set of Fawlty Towers and there at the counter was the staff equivalent of Basil. No sooner had I walked into the shop than I was subjected to a verbal barrage. This staff is the RUDEST person I have ever met. I was getting my suit altered and to be spoken to in that manner was not solicited or deserved. Customer service is NON EXISTENT in this place. Do yourself a favour and bypass SAINT GEORGE.
I have never written a review before but felt compelled to do so after this experience. What a laugh I had when I read the other reviews just goes to show some things never change. All I can say is that Williamstown is a very small town and people talk!
Truly one of the rudest people I have ever come across. I think the management forgets they are running a business and supposed to be offering a service. I went here years ago and they were rude then, I since avoided this place, driving 20 minutes away rather than giving them my business. I thought I would give them another chance, but they proved themselves to be worse than before. I was trying on a top, and discussing with them what I wanted altered and they told me to hurry up, as they have something more important they needed to finish.I have heard from so many people now that they avoid this business, as the management can't help being rude. Please pass on, through word of mouth, to avoid this business, until the management learns how to speak to people with respect. I will certainly be telling everyone I can and Williamstown is a small place. Learn some manners!
I am so greateful that I was able to get my bridesmaid dress altered to fit in just one week, after having left it til the last minute. It looks fantastic now and fits perfectly. I was in such a flap when I took it in to the store, and nearly in tears when told it might not be fixable. However the seamstress got it sorted for me. I much prefer to put my trust in a local dressmaker than a city chain store who I'm sure would have charged me much more and probably not done such a nice job.
