Sakura House

Really nice Japanese in the Eastern Suburbs. Good bento box, sushi and Tepanyaki. Would go back and will recommend

If you are out and about and looking for a nice japanese restaurant, then this probably isnt the place. However, if you just happen to be at Knox Ozone, and just happen to have a taste for some japanese cuisine, then this place does the job pretty well.

The price list is ok, because the food is pretty good.. it is certainly not award winning, but its also above average, so you wont be dissapointed.

The staff are friendly, and the service is quick. The restaurant is a fancifully decorated, but isnt traditional japanese at all.

I recommend getting the terriyaki, as i am a big terriyaki fan, and Sakura House does pretty darn good chicket terriyaki!

The people on the table next to us got a dish that was served on a gas cooker, and i am almost tempted to go back there just to get this particular dish - as it has great novely appeal (shame they wouldnt let me taste it though!)

I was disappointed with this overrated, overpriced Japanese restaurant. In all fairness, the staff were attentive and polite, and we did not have to wait long for our meals to arrive, but the positive aspects of my Sakura House experience end there. The prices were staggering; the serving sizes were stingy, and the taste did not reflect the financial outlay. Worst of all, when I inquired if I may use their bathroom, I was informed that I would have to cross the rainy walkway to Village Cinemas. Classy. Visitors to Knox Ozone are spoiled for choice when it comes to restaurants, and it is my opinion that there are far better places to eat than Sakura House.
