Here on a Friday & the Friday special Fisherman's basket is the biggest I have ever seen! It serves four and has big, crunchy pieces of fish, delicious prawns, calamari, chips & zingy, crunchy salad. Loved every bite! Atmosphere was so good & buzzy & kids club made everything family friendly also. Great food, service & buzz.
Update: September 2017
The renovations looks complete with a great new airy space, kids club/area inside & a vintage brew truck in the beer garden! It's quirky yet fits in perfectly with the new space with exposed timber, recycled bricks & steel framed doors. Love it! There is also a kids club on Mondays & Fridays and the truck will keep kids young and old occupied. Love the updated menu also, which all sound delicious with a mix of traditional pub fare & new, fusion dishes. The Sunday Feast is delicious & generous, and brings back the tradition of gathering with family friends on a Sunday for a long lunch. Laze around for a great meal and drinks, especially boutique beers. Such a lovely revival of a local institution with a great community vibe.
Great little local pub. Very family friendly - so great to take the kids. Restaurant was a bit yuck for a while, but the Thai restaurant across the road took over the restaurant part and they now have a GREAT menu & GREAT food. Half regular pub-grub and half Thai stir-fry's and noodles and even a great laksa. Good menu for the kids (with icecream desert included). We go there over and over with our toddler!
This is a lovely little pub with a chilled vibe, a great place to meet with friends for bevy's and pub nosh. The courtyard is a delightful hang out on a sunny afternoon without being too noisy or packed out. The service is friendly, cheerful and professional. The bistro food verges between satisfactory to good, and their Specials board usually has some interesting selections (Pork belly with kipfler potatoes and snow peas for example).
