Salmon and Bear is a a casual eatery in Zetland, Sydney, across the road from the East Village shopping precinct. You can park in the shopping centre for 2 hours for free and head to the restaurant care free.

Grizzly bears stand in the shallows each season when the Salmon swim upstream and literally pop into their mouths - that's how these predators fish for their prey - by mere fluke. I've been to the one at Newtown and had to come visit the source of the magic at their premiere location. We've been to Salmon and Bear before and like it a lot. It's a wood cabin styled place, a lot smaller than. newtown but same styling, menu and drinks. We ordered the grizzly plate; blue eyed cod (but they didn't have it so they came and told us and we got the tuna). The tuna was beautifully cooked, a nice flavour to it. We picked the grilled vegetables and peri peri sauce on this instance. But you can get sweet potato fries (as we usually do) or a number of other choices. Also got a prawn taco (tempura) with cabbage and a nice tangy sauce. A great place for people who enjoy healthy food and seafood and good prices and fast service. The staff were super nice.

The food here is amazing and the flavours are beautiful. Customer service is very attentive and they are very helpful. They also serve alcohol so grab a wine or a beer and order up! I highly recommend the spanish mackeral and the fish and chips!
