Salsa's is usually reliable with the food on offer. This one is in Westfield Bondi Junction within the level 5 food court. They had a special Mixed Grill Fajita Burrito which had steak and chicken so went with that. It was meat and rice heavy but I like it. Also got some of their super tasty Mexicrinkles (something about their seasoning makes me love it!). The lady serving me was very nice.

It looks like Salsa's at Bondi Junction has recently undergone a refurbishment (and it was still going when I paid them a visit a few weeks back). It now sports a very modern, Scandinavian look and feel with wooden-led fitouts and bright colours over the now shack-style store. Once the work is finished, they would have their own seating area in addition to the food court's seating areas.
The staffs were very friendly and accommodating, and the food was prepared in a more meticulous way, which did take a little more time (they even suggested for orders is to have more than 10 items to avoid any delays).
I tried out their burrito bowls (which cost $1 extra each than the normal burrito wraps). The 14-hour beef was incredibly soft, and the pulled pork were also nice although a little bit spicy. The fresh vegetables made the dish even better and took out some of the strong flavours from the meat.
Seriously I do not understand how this place or any of the Salsa places are in business. I am pretty fair and give them all at least one chance, so I am not painting them all with one brush.
But lets focus on Bondi franchise. Food took for ever! For an eatery this is pretty bad! Secondly the chips in the nachos were burnt or under cooked. I left over half as they were burnt. But the key for me with so much choice in the eatery, is taste, or rather the lack thereof. I mean I have eaten Mexican all around the world, and Salsa Bondi have somehow removed all taste from their nachos and Burritos which we tried.
How can you remove taste from guacamole? The mince had some pepper added but that was it. After all this it isn't cheap either. Never again.
