Salsa's Fresh Mex Grill
I love my Mexican food, and this place certainly delivers, especially on the burrito front. Not only is it cheap, and is made pretty quickly, but it is also incredibly filling. In factj I loved it so much that I regularly come back for more, especially if I am looking for something fast, wholesome, and fresh. Oh, they are also licensed, though considering that this is a Mexican restaurant you can probably guess what type of beer is available.
Don't get me wrong the food is 5 stars absolutely, if only for their top-tier chicken chip burrito (which I think might have been discontinued, but I still ask for it). However, they're really set on their menu-dictated sauces and you have to be really careful about switching them out lest they charge you for it without telling you. Also, I'm a little bitter over the recent increase of taco Tuesdays from $2 to $2.50...
I've only had the chicken chip burrito and that was great, if not a little small (at least compared to other burritos at this price). I don't like that it isn't like other Mexican chains where you can see them make your burrito and customize it along the way -- customizations have to be asked for here and it's unclear whether it is included in the price or not. The staff at this location didn't seem particularly knowlegeable about the products and the second time I ate here the burrito seemed to really be lacking on chicken.
Melbourne is starting to have a few fast food mexican restaurants but I personally feel that this is one of the better ones. The burrito (although a bit small) here at salsas is full of flavour and not overfilled with beans unlike other fast food mexican chains. Also they serve chips here, not corn chips. So that's a win!
