A wonderful caf/restaurant with very reasonably-priced meals on busy Koornang Rd. A friend had been raving about this place for ages and now I can see why. The food is lovely, the service excellent- you are made to feel welcome from the moment you step inside. It does get very busy and sometimes a bit noisy, especially when they have live music. I will definitely be back!
You've worked hard, you've subjugated your identity to the demands of the workplace, you've earned money... what better way to spend it than in a cafe with a sincere hippie vibe? The staff are so friendly and the food is so deliciously homemade that you can almost forget youre but a willing cog, participating in the capitalist machine. Theres a sheltered beer garden for smokers, and adventure-seekers will appreciate the thrill of finding the toilets, which may or may not be shrouded in unremitting blackness. It's a large cafe, but Santucci's can get crowded, especially on their monthly open-mic night, during which all aspiring performers are welcome to share their music, singing or poetry - whatever the quality! - with a universally attentive and appreciative audience. I'll be back for that, and this time, I might even save up to buy a glass of wine, man.
