Paid 600 dollars for a side table to be restored and refinished. A year and a half later it.started to fall apart. Bought it back and the response was 'that makes sense given the joins, if you wanted it glued you should have said.' Then went on to say 'if you want.it properly restored it will cost you.' Terrible customer service would be kind. Am appalled that a service and company of this nature guarantees there work prior to payment and places the onus on the customer after the fact.
Thanks for your feedback Josh. In response the joints of the unit were all sound on completion over a year ago. if the unit is left in a wet area for over a year, yes it will fall apart. unfortunately timber is not water proof and therefore we could not offer any guarantees.
On my eyes it is the professionally applied 2pac coating you applied that has failed, cracking through from in direct moisture not actual direct contact with water. I have timber window frames that i painted peraobally that have lasted 10 years without cracking. I would expect your workmanship would last longer. While i agree that timber is not waterproof, the breif included what amd where the product was located and the fonished product while the product was sound at time of delivery lasted a little over a year.
