Adelaide used to have a Starbucks but it ended up pulling out in 2008 at the heart of the Global Financial Crisis. There is one, and one reason only that Starbucks was never able to gain a foothold in Adelaide places like this. Okay, Soprano's isn't one of the major coffee shops here, but it is one of many, and people seem to much prefer these home grown coffee shops than the imported one. They aren't cafes per se, but rather the standard grab and go coffee shops, but they had given themselves the corporate image which means that people will actually walk past a Starbucks and come to a place like this. Okay, there isn't anything all that fantastic about it, and the coffee was okay, but it just goes to show that even if you are a multi-national corporation doesn't mean you can break into every market. Oh, I should mention that the coffee was okay, but not the best that I've had.
