Fantastic Caravan Park
This is one of the best caravan parks we have stayed in on our frequent travels around Australia in the last 15 year The park is a credit to Dennis & Judy and is beautifully maintained with spotless amenities. They both went out of their way to make us feel welcome and valued customers. We had moved from the previous caravan park due to poor TV reception (I wanted to watch Wimbleton). The reception fortunately was fantastic but they went out of their way to be be helpful - and offered us the use of a taller antenna or even the use one of the cabins if we couldn't get Channel 7.
The park is within easy walking distance from the town and is in a great position to explore the Mackay Region within a quiet and peaceful setting. Will certainly stay here again.

DON'T RELY ON BOOKINGS AT SARINA PALMS CARAVAN VILLAGE:
I made a booking to stay for 3 nights a little over a week before Jan and I were due to arrive. I made it clear that we would be arriving late because of how far we were travelling that day, (from Injune) and that if we were likely to arrive after closing time (6.30pm) we would ring and let them know. They tried to ring us but due to our location we were uncontactable. After arriving in Sarina, we located a bank and withdrew the $240 for the 3 nights accommodation in cash, payable in advance. (This business deals only in cash I was told when I booked.) We arrived just on 6.00pm, half an hour before the office closed and were told "we've given your ...read more
Customers travel plans change and we have at least 2 people per week who do not turn up and don't cancel. We decided to call customers from 4.30p.m. to double check. We telephoned 3 times and customer said they received the messages, but decided not to return calls. At 6p.m. we made a decision to let out the villa.
At least twice a week, we have customers whose circumstances change and they do not contact us. For this reason we contact people approximately from 4.30 p.m. to check to see if they still want accomodation. We rang these people 3 times and left a message. They did say saw the messages but did not answer them. We made a decision at 6p.m. to let out the villa.
