Satchi Patisserie
Service is bad, always making customers wait! I have been there on a number of different times and the girls are always cleaning the tables while customers wait to be served, happened to me twice with 2 different workers. Today the worker told me they were required to clean the tables first incase someone came in and wanted that dirty table, wheni asked her ' so while customers are waiting to order, you need to clean the one dirty table (there was already one clean table) first just incase someone walks in and wants that dirty table (not the clean one)'. That is pathetic!!! I said i would like to speak to the manager one day as this has happened before and she said the manager would tell me the same thing. I get myself coffees from there as they make nice coffee but i will stop that too as the service of the girls is so bad. Customers come first everyone knows that. Take your customers order then clean your tables, there arnt even people waiting to use the table, but ...read more
Brimbank Gardens is catching on with having cafes and patisserie. Satchi Patisserie seems to be a trendy place to have coffee and a bite for breakfast or lunch and indeed it is. I have walked pass a few times and they seem quite busy which has convince me to come in to try their breakfast deal. For $6.90 what a great deal. Not the complete breakfast with everything but big enough to keep you full. My mum also ordered the same and she usually doesn't finish a big breakfast but this was perfect for her as she manage to finish her plate as well. I haven't yet tried any of their pastry items but will do next time round. They seem to have a good selection to pick from. They also have sweets likes cupcakes & muffins. Not located in the main food court area but the traffic is pretty good down this end given and entrance near by.
I came into the centre the other day while doing my groceries at safeway and stumbled across this bakery. Nicely presented, modern and clean with lots of bright light. There are some seats for coffee and cake. They offer a number of nicely presented cakes in the glass windows. I picked up strawberry shortcake, the girl that was serving me was very friendly and tried to accommodate me in finding the right container size to fit the cake without having to spoil it, although one of it did get spoiled as the box was too small and crushed the beautiful design on top. I needed to pick up some candles on the way back and she kindly suggested the shop around the corner that was much cheaper than the other variety stores in the centre. Their cake was delicious as good as the presentation. Would definitely like to return next time to sample another cake and try their barrister coffee.
