Stayed there 2006, we walked in off the street to be given a beautiful King room.
The doorman is such a lovely bloke - very friendly & above average assistance (he assisted me with baggage to the airport bus stop which was very much appreciated). The staff were wonderful, friendly & nothing was difficult to achieve (even with a sick child).
However - this time around I cannot say the same & I was extremely disappointed as this trip was supposed to be a special return to Melbourne.
The room had stains & scuffs on walls, murky carpet, pokey windows & was very uninviting despite booking 2x King bed interconnecting rooms. 2 staff were beligerent & rude, they charged the rooms incorrectly & I have not recieved my correct Velocity points despite my attempts to rectify this. I recieved rude early morning calls (2 times) to demand I come downstairs to "fix" a billing error that they had made.
