Scarborough Hotel
The Scarborough Hotel is Wollongong's oldest licensed venue and in fact, the town itself, (formerly known as South Clifton,) was named after the venue. Opened in the late 1880's, the hotel retains period features, giving it a warm and charming pub atmosphere. The cliff side location of the Scarborough means you can enjoy uninterrupted ocean views. There is a bistro which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily, and you'll find full gaming facilities available and a good selection of beers, spirits and wine.

The new reno's are awesome. The outside beer garden with the most awesomesauce of views is well worth the 45 minute drive out here.
It gets really really busy about lunchtime and you'll have a hard time finding a parking spot so beware if you're planning a weekend drive here for a lunch break.
The food was lovely, the steak was well done and the salad was totally nom.
They have a great cafe at the front of house which does warm drinks as well, and after the blustery wind this bit was a godsend as I had more hot chocolates & coffee than I did cocktails!
The staff are lovely and amenities are clean. You can book the huts for birthday's etc, or there are tables scattered around the garden that you can sit at.
Go check it out. You won't be disappointed.
En route down the south coast, we couldn't miss this supposedly iconic hotel located on the edge of the water. The location is wonderful, high up & with breathtaking panoramic views of the ocean and coastline. It has a beer garden which is great for lunch or a drink on a sunny day. There is a variety of food on the menu which includes all the pub and bistro classics. The food is good but not mind blowing and a little on the pricey side. So come here to relax, appreciate the views and enjoy a refreshment which is the perfect pit stop for a road trip.
Wow. Just wow! This is the best view any pub has in Australia I think. The food was incredible and as you walk through the pub there was a friendly staff member there to point us in the right direction. I tried the wagyu burger, and I'd definitely get it again. The best part to sit is the garden out the back.
Have been wanting to go to this place for ages and finally took the plunge. The outdoor dining area needs to be seen to be believed - totally WOW! The view over the ocean is amazing, the food was nice (not amazing, but it cooked quickly and was reasonably priced) and the overall vibe was upbeat and family orientated. Its very popular so make sure you get there early to secure a good spot. Will be back!!
