The Scarborough-Wombarra bowling club is a hidden secret, known by the locals as the 'Bat Cave.' You could, litteraly, drive past 10 times without even noticing it but once you do you'll be back because the beer is cheap the food is awsome (and also cheap) and the locals are more than willing to share a story and a schooner over a game of barefoot bowls on a Sunday arvo.
It may be small and hard to find but it's worth the search and it's better than the overpriced tourist trap at the top of the hill.
Get amongst it with the locals and have a ripper, bring the kids cos they're welcome too.
Hint: the entrance is at the bottom of the 'S' bend.
