Definitely a great tourist day-trip to see the Blue Mountains, especially with kids.
You get stunning views from the cable-cars. The boardwalk lets you see the temperate rainforest up close, without disturbing it. The scenic railway is a fabulous experience (just hold on tight!).
I recommend taking the alternative way around to the crowds - go down the Cable-car and back up the scenic railway.
Senic World Blue Mountains caters for all ages and definitely a place to go to and visit if you are in the Blue Mountains - amazing views and beautiful walks. Despite the busy-ness with all other tourists/visitors, it was so chill and enjoyed every bit of it here with my girlfriends.
There isn't anything I didn't like about Scenic World.
Despite going on a misty, rainy day in the middle of the Easter Holidays, I still had the time of my life.
Perfect for all ages and with wheelchair and stroller access in most areas, this place is an all-day scenic park which as some loud extreme elements and a more tamed board walk to balance it out.
Enjoy the world steepest Railway train up and down, the Skyway (which has a glass floor so you can look over waterfalls) and the Cableway, which swings over some of the highest points in Katoomba. You have the opportunity to walk off road and into the Blue Mountains and still come back when your heart desires.
You can easily find yourself spending 6 hours here, so pack a lunch, bring water and wear some comfy shoes. Or if you're lazy, they have a cafe and restaurant to have a bite to eat or a warm drink to enjoy.
