Will never return due to beyond rude and appalling service from your staff member Tahlia. My partner was ordering food whilst I stood away from the cafe with our puppy who came across another puppy (it is Mornington, after all, a dog friendly hub).
As dogs/puppies do, they were playing and barking at each other for about 10 seconds (of course I stopped their barking immediately). Tahlia proceeded to complain to my partner about how she can't stand barking dogs, how people shouldn't let their dogs bark and that anyone who does is irresponsible, not realising that my partner was the owner. ...read more
We have been fans of Schnappers for a couple of years & have proudly brought visitors to have lunch & to savour this unique little cafe with a lovely view.
Last week we repeated this but were disappointed that the menu had change to less variety and the prices significantly increased, ie turkey melt was child sized, less toppings & burnt!
When we finally got our meals some 45 mins later, we were disappointed even further at the very small servings.
I can only assume that it has changes hands - or the bank insisted they increase their turnover. Be assured we will not be supporting either scenario again.
My grandson and I had breakfast (9.30) at Schnappers Kiosk this morning, and enjoyed a very adequate and filling, well presented meal and coffee. Really pleasant staff and efficient and quick service. What a wonderful place to eat, and enjoy the view of the water, and go for a stroll afterwards. Show me another place in the world as good.
I have been there previously seemed fine. Went Mother's Day breakfast service was terrible except for specific staff who was polite. Took 45 min to serve a couple bacon egg sandwiches. Only 5 tables in use at time we placed order. Also stuffed up ordered meals. Hot drinks came in 10 mins. And went cold waiting for meal.
We ordered drinks to have with meals. Very disappointed with service. Won't be back in a hurry.
Just letting you know although only 5 tables may be in use inside that doesn't account for how many take away orders there could be, or phone orders that you wouldn't know about. Drinks also aren't automatically to come out with meals so if you want them to you must state it as you order, we are not mind readers. Although you say you are disappointed with the service it's disappointing to see how impaitent and not understanding people are
these days.
