Scots 1748 is a boutique women's clothing manufacturer / retailer specializing in quality garments. A mainstay of each seasonal collection is a co-ordinating knitwear group.

"Made In Australia" is important to us, with woven garments made here and our knitwear collection is designed here also and every winter, Ultra Fine Australian Merino is incorporated into our Cashmere collection, a mix that produces the worlds best.

Scots 1748 is owned and operated by the Bowie Family of Adelaide S.A. and for those of you interested in historical links. Originating from Kilmarnock in Scotland, Andrew Bowie was one of the early free settlers in Australia. According to historians the name 'Bowie' supposedly means 'buyer'.
