Scott Pickett, Director
Scott Pickett directs TV commercials, Film and Television Shows.Scott is a versatile director whose passion for performance and strong visual storytelling has taken him across most formats. His first film, an animation made at High School, won first prize at Sydney's Museum of Contemporary Arts short film festival. Whilst working as an editor, director and cameraman he studied at both the Victorian College of the Arts (Post Graduate) and The Australian Film Television and Radio School (Masters).
His short drama/thriller titled The Rouseabout (25 min) took top honours amongst the VCA graduating films and screened at festivals worldwide. It won best narrative film at the National Student Film Festival, Best Film at the Falls Creek Film Festival, garnered a nomination for emerging talent from the Film Critics Circle of Australia as well as an AFI nomination for best short screenplay. His other short Shot Open (18 min) won a Golden Reel award in Los Angeles, won GOLD in the ACS Vic awards, GOLD in the ACS National awards. It's screenings include the prestigious Camerimage festival in Losz, Poland, Fallscreek and Flickerfest.
Since graduating Scott has enjoyed a success directing TV commercials with production company Jungleboys. His commercials have been a part of funniest TV commercial programs in Italy and Germany and also earned him multiple awards. He has also continued his long form work. Whilst developing TV and film concepts he has directed drama for Channel 7 as well directing sketch comedy for The Elegant Gentleman's Guide to Knife Fighting.
