Very comfortable, well appointed licensed restaurant, Cafe Bistro. The decor is an older style but very pleasing to the eye. Outside on the kerb there sun umbrellas tables and chairs, great place to stop on a warm Adelaide day, for a coffee, beer and lunch. When in town or at the Oval, this would be a good call for dinner, with friends. The menu is very comprehensive and caters for most tastes. We found the service very good and friendly. I have no hesitation recommending this Cafe Bistro.
After reading reviews of here I was expecting more. Realistically there's nothing wrong with this cafe. Realistically though that's not really enough in an area where cafes are a dime a dozen.
Caesar salad was mostly chicken & stale bread though a nice flavoured dressing. Calzone had a unique sauce but crust was hard. Pasta was good and filling, probably the best dish.
Iced coffees & iced chocolates were good too.
Staff were friendly & decor chic, though air con average.
All up it was good. But good won't be good enough to get me back.
