Seaford Hotel

We visited for lunch a few weeks ago and loved it, so we decided to see what this place was like for dinner and were very impressed again. Awesome food at great prices; a good wine list; wonderful, friendly service; and a lovely ambience at this place. Only thing we would like to see improved is to have local craft beers on the list. Either way, we will definitely be back!

More commonly known as The Beach Hotel, the exterior of this place is quite nice, as are the hallways and open areas. Unfortunately I found the dining room pokey, even though I'd booked well in advance we ended up in an odd corner that felt like the table had been put there as a last minute thought. What's weird is that they used up a massive amount of space for their bar so it looked nice but they could have halved its size with the same effect and actually had space for tables to be spaced out.
I loved my steak here (and I'm fussy about steak), cooked just right and just the right amount of fat on the side to give it a flavour but plenty of meat too. At $20 it was certainly reasonably priced - and they didn't skimp on the gravy either. Fries were nice if a little ...read more

I have never reviewed any service before but have decided to now. After being a regular patron of the Hotel for over 10 years I will never go back again. I ordered king prawns and they were very nice but the complaint I have was about the tartare sauce which accompanied my meal. It was definitely a recycled addition. At the bottom of the dish, after I had consumed most of it was a glug of God knows what. It turned my stomach to say the least. The salad lettuce was limp and the rest of the dish left a lot to be desired. Was this recyled as well???? Very disapointing. The management staff took 15 minutes to make an appearance after a very controlled complaint was issued. We are one family that will not return. Rest assured, we have a very very large network and we will surely pass on our gripes to our friends and colleagues.

I wish I could say much more about this place... I don't like to leave bad reviews. Although not ALL bad, it certainly was not as good as I have had else where. And it has room for improvement.

Terrible experience. Ordered the Seaford Fried Chicken which is overpriced for the few pieces of meat you get. My friend bought a schnitzel which came out with the wrong topping and had to wait a ridiculously long time for our food to come out. My advice is go somewhere else!
