Season Thai Restaurant
780 Pacific Hwy
Gordon, NSW, 2072
Visited with my mum for a Thursday night dinner after work. We arrived at about 6:10 and ordered at 6:20. We didn't eat until about 7:30!!! I have NEVER ever waited for any length of time even comparable to this at a Thai restaurant. Now, this is no special takes-70-minutes-to-prepare Thai food. It's just regular run of the mill usually-eating-minutes-after-you-order variety. In fact, my mum ordered a coke and that didn't even come until the food arrived. We said to them at the 40 minute mark 'have you forgotten our order' and they were like 'coming right away'.30 minutes later.... Don't get me wrong the food is great but I would never go back with a wait like that.
Season Thai has become our regular takeaway restaurant. I must admit I have never actually set foot in the restaurant. I can vouch for the reliability of their online orders. The food arrives neatly packaged in a paper bag, often earlier than the ETA.
Onto the favourite dishes so far ... Boyfriend loves the Curry Puffs (4 for $6), especially the puff pastry, but I am generally not a fan of food with only vegetables. Gang Phed Ped Yang ($26) is a red curry consisting of generous serving of roasted duck (with skin on) and several giant lychees ... Yum! The BBQ Lamb ($24) consists of 4 tasty marinated lamb cutlets. Crying Wagyu Tiger (grilled marinated wagyu beef) ($19.50) can be a bit dry but I do love the 'crying tiger' sauce. Prices are not in the 'cheap Thai' range, but reasonable.
Its now about 2 hours since I finished eating at Season Thai in Gordon, and usualy when I eat Thai I get upset stomach, however I have the most wonderful feeling, no upset tummy which tells me they cook fresh and clean. I loved their food, even though I am not a huge Thai fan, but my beter half loves thai.
highyly recommend this place, they may have just converted me from a Steak Lover (almost).
This place is absolutely marvellous from its amazing wall painting and melt in your mouth food as well as a neatly organised table with small candles to lighten up the mood. This restaurant is one of the best restaurants in Gordon but is closely matched with the next door thai restaurant (Gordon Thai). The price is no issue as the food was pretty much worth every cent but it could have come down cheaper. (7/10)
I've lost count of the number of times this shop has changed businesses. After having passed by this restaurant a few times, I was impressed with the modern decor, much more hip than any other place in Gordon, that's for sure! I organised a big group of friends and made a booking for eight on a weeknight.
The table they gave us was at an absolutely enormous wooden table. Lovely decor inside, although the width of the table made it slightly difficult for us to hear one ...read more
