We have been regular diners at the Seaton Hotel for more than 15 years and until recently, never had a meal that was not nice. In the last 3 months, the quality of food and service has fallen to an unsatisfactory and unacceptable level.
The carvey has finished with the Roast of the Day being served in the kitchen in very small portions and served as a "come and get it" meal. Terrible quality with a plate presentation"Next".
We don't know what has happened, the staff members appears to have changed and also in numbers. The other night we ordered for 4 with 3 being served quickly and the other (Schnitzel) being served 35 minutes later and when it was served, it was stone cold.
We work on the 3 stike's principle, and that means Yourrrrrrrrrrr Out !
WE been visiting the seaton hotel restaurant / Bistro for the last 6 years

Schnitzals is a meal on it own the steaks are cooked to your liking also the fish and other meals & salad bar is Fentastic

Sometimes I wonder why it was that I would regularly walk past a pub but have never been inside for a drink until very recently. I suspect it was because back then I was really not that interested in the pub culture, and also probably because the pub culture has changed significantly. I used to have friends who lived down here, and the extent that I visited this pub was to go to the bottle shop. However, recently I decided to step inside of a beer, and I suspect that the pub I see now was nothing like the pub back then. These days Seaton has no doubt changed, and this pub now comes across as a suburban pub trying to be a trendy pub one of the things that I noticed was that most of the beer garden was a no smoking affair. However, it still has a sports bar and some pokies hidden away, but despite that it is still a pretty nice pub.
Used to be a good place to eat, however seems to be a management staff there who needs to learn some PR skills and do an anger management course! ... I've personally experienced this person's rudeness myself.... dining is meant to be a pleasureable experience... not so at the Seaton Hotel....
