Secrets on Lake Baroon is the very best intimate accommodation for couples, with 10 tree houses nestled high in the rain forest in the Sunshine Coast lush hinterland on 45 acres of rain forest, right on the edge of a beautiful lake.Each tree house is only accessible by a hand carved elevated tree top walkway, lit at night by hand made pottery lamps. They are meticulously appointed and individually themed from a different element of nature, feature extensive ceramic ironwork and carved cedar.Guests can indulge in special home made touches.

It is truly a unique place, beautifully done, the carvings and craftmanship is fantastic, we loved it everytime we've been there. We had a little issue with the cleanliness, but nothing too bad. Also, I think it is a tad overpriced, as beautiful and unique as it is. Otherwise, it's definitely one of the most romantic places you can possibly go to in the area.
Recently (August 2014) I attended a wedding at Secrets on the lake and I was mortified when during the farewell circle the function management got on the microphone and told everyone they had to 'get out' as it was just before midnight and the venue was obviously hired only until midnight. The Bride and Groom were only halfway through saying goodbye to their guests but that didn't bother the management, they simply turned off the music and told everyone they had to leave, management literally kicked them out of their own wedding! It put a real downer on what was otherwise a great night.
We were given 2 nights here for our honeymoon and what an amazing time we had. The accommodation is exquisite, every detail is taken care of, the food basket you get for breakfast is divine, the setting is gorgeous, the service is warm and friendly. We had a truly wonderful experience.
