Serious About Shade

Initial consultation was fantastic. Seemed very honest and wiling to help with design unlike other that quoted off google maps. Post this I do not rate their service. Measurment was wrong and installed at half the size requested and had to be re built. 6 Months later I find that the support bracket was not capped properly. I would of preferred that they tell us they forgot to bring the cap but instead they decided to roll up some electrical tape in a ball, jam it in the top and put some black silicone over it which subsequesntly leaked. Came out to replace once I informed them but no apology or we are sorry but now its fixed. Just a plane silver cap on a black post. Dissapointed as all it would of took was a few words

PLEAE CONSIDER CAREFULLY before dealing with this company.
The product is high quality and well made, there is no denying that, however my sail has been positioned poorly and is too small for the purpose it was intended (being privacy from neighbours). Not to mention, the seam runs along eye level. I paid $1500 in cash up front.
The owner did not return to discuss options at improving the job. He rather took a "take the money and run" attitude and was defensive and made excuses. So currently I'm left with a structure that doesn't serve any purpose, my neighbours are still clearly visible and his final email concluded I would need a new sail if I wanted the issues addressed, at my expense of course. Worst experience ever that went over months. We ordered a vinyl shade and after two attempts to put it up were then told that the vinyl would not work and shade cloth was the only answer. The vinyl was poorly manufactured and sagged. The shade cloth fitted but was not what we wanted and was not what we were quoted on. The despondency of the management was unbelieveable. They finally put up a vinyl shade because we would not make the final payment until we received something close to what was promised. The end job was disgusting. We had to get another company in to try and fix it and it ended up costing us another $3500. The other company could not believe the job we were left with and they advised that they would have done the entire job with the extra steel arch braces for less than what we ended paying Serious about Shade.
