Never again will I stop at this restaurant/petrol station, used to stop all the time, not sure if they have changed hands but was served by a young Asian guy who was so rude, we just walked out, reported him to Manager but she couldn't of given a dam as well, poor service is an understatement at this restaurant, would recommend you use other petrol station and take away in Myalup just a few klms away.why would you support this level of rudeness?
After some 20 years of "Dining in" at Settlers, we were so disappointed at the poor standard of meal served for lunch on 02/07/2013. We have accepted the poorly maintained toilets (only built a few years ago) and the fact this outlet overtrades, causing some delays for food, however today we were served two almost inedible meals. Obviously there are now new kitchen staff or some short cuts are being taken.
A toasted bacon and egg sandwich consisted of squashed pancake type egg with three slabs of ham! The hamburger consisted of a monstrous bun, a flat dry piece of mince with three slabs of ham and eight chips on the side. Salad was OK.
Come on Settlers - lift your game. Just because you have no competition in the area, doesn't mean you need to lower your standards. Unlike other reviewers, we have always found the food acceptable and fresh. We visit between two and four times each month.
Again in August, we gave Settlers another try. Keeping it simple we dined in and ordered a pie and a pastie. Difficult to get this wrong one would think?
The product was just OK but I question their method of heating the product? Was it microwaved or was it jaffled? Certainly did not come out of a pie warmer. We have now decided to become more organised and prepare our own food for each fortnightly return trip from Dunsborough to Perth. Hopefully management will read these reviews and change the kitchen staff.
