Love this shop! It's not mass-produced junk trying to look like the real deal, this is the real deal( a lot of the items are from France). The owner is a warm and interesting lady, and I love hearing the story behind a lot of the pieces. She has a great idea for detail. I went in the buy a 50th birthday gift for a man who has everything, gggrrrr , what a job, but there were a few things appropriate... I bought a lovely cheese knife as that will suit him. Love this place. I also bought a candle, the owner has her own concoctions made up by someone, so the fragrance was unique. Truly a lovely shop to visit for homewares or gifts.
Gaynor Groome, the owner, designer, and artist of this beautiful shop has a fantastic eye for style, quality and class. She has never stocked an item I haven't liked.
I can recommend Shades of Pale for that little gift, the amazing piece to finish off a room or to redecorate your entire home in the classic french style.
