Another place with poor service in Montville. My husband and I waited half an hour to get bacon and eggs and oily blueberry pancakes. The drinks didn't come until after the food is served (at least if they brought the drinks first it wouldn't seem so long). The people next to us who came in after us where given their meals first and even their drinks didn't come until much later. Complain to the staff about the slow service and asked to get my money back but I was told that the meals are ready. Looking forward to a nice breakfast in the mountain but came away extremely disappointed. We certainly won't be going back there again and do not recommend this cafe. I don't even think it's worth 1 star.
i came here to rave about the service at this cafe and was very surprised to read the other comments, this place is one of the very few unique and original places in a sea of generic cafe's. The food was excellent and the staff were extremely friendly and polite, I understand that at public holiday times they get swamped with people because they are very affordable but i did notice a sign on the front counter that said "waiting times up-to 45 mins for those times so if in a hurry, dont order" but i guess some people just dont read signs.

My experience at this cafe was definitely less than satisfactory! We eventually decided to eat here because the prices were cheap and they had a wide variety of meals. After ordering, we waited 30-40 mins for our meals to come out (including coffees and drinks) and when they eventually did (after we had to ask what was happening), the meals were cold and of a poor quality. The staff were extremely rude and argumentative, saying it was ok our meals were cold because they were 'busy'. Never have I experienced such a poor display of customer service and hospitality. You definitely get (or in our case, DON'T get) what you pay for here.
A group of six of us went in for lunch and I was very disgusted with the meals and service. We had to wait 40 mins for meals and I had to ask if our drinks where coming after 20 mins. I had a printed out receipt of what I had paid for (which was two drinks and two meal) so I had proof. One meal came out without salad which was to be included and paid for so when I asked where the salad was I was very shocked with the reply of the staff. Their excuse was the till printed the kitchen receipts and thats what the kitchen makes. On top of this one meal on the table came out cold and we got no apologies for late meals with the staff saying they are busy and it was not their fault and also no apologies for the cold meal. I showed them my receipt asking for my money back but they were very rude about the whole situation and made us feel like we were worth nothing to their business.
