Shandar Tandoori

This is a regular spot for a casual dinner with my husband. It is a small family run business, and always quite busy even during the week. Our favourite dishes are the chilli prawns and the beef vindaloo. Great location near the IGA and sreet parking is usually easy to find close by.

Hand down this the best Indian restaurant in Sydney. Hats off to chefs!!

Our favourite Indian restaurant in the area. They do a lovely Kerala prawn dish with big plump prawns.

I have had numerous enjoyable dishes at Shandar, and when visiting friends in the area would suggest a curry from their. However my experience this Sunday has left me with a very bad experience. after calling at 8pm the take away time was supposed to be 40mins, 9pm arrived and still no food. They took my address down wrong and didn't have the decency to call me back. I called at 9pm to ask where they were as its only 800 meters from our house they told me the driver could not find your address but he is on his way now. 9.30pm comes and still no food. I called again to ask where is the driver and our food as we are only 800meters away. Our food arrived at 9.40pm the owner didnt even apologize for the fact they were late. Our bill was $56 dollars (very expense for two dishes, two rice and naan bread.) and we were not even offered any form of discount after asking for one. Great little restaurant, lovely dishes, friendly, fast service. Cheese and garlic naan is delicious, in fact most dishes are.
