We were given a huge overestimation for time it would take to have job done.When the job was very straight forward and not what we thought would need to be done we were still charged at 1.5-2days of work despite it only taking a quarter of that time. Being a tradesman with 25yrs experience, we feel he would realise straight away that it would not take this amount of time to do the work and should have been honest in quoting for that type of work and also charging accordingly for the amount of time it took to complete.
As discussed to client the job was quoted as a set rate not an hourly rate. The quote provided was well within the range of other quotes client had received and client accepted my quote.
