Since 1938 the Shapland Family have been teaching Australians to swim, no other family in Australia or the World for that matter has such a history providing swimming lessons. Since 1992 Shapland has taken their tried and proven learn to swim program into South East Queensland and Victoria by building small boutique centres, restricting the class size to 3 pupils per class and the maximum number of classes in the pool at any one time to 2 and in the case of Logan Reserve the maximum number of classes will be 3. All Shapland pools are purpose built teaching pools, heated to 32C all year round, have a separate viewing area for parents and climate controlled change and observation rooms. Our aim is to make swimming lessons fun and provide an environment where the teaching area is quite and conducive to providing children with a great learning experience as they gain confidence in their ability to use the water to support their body weight and then start learning how to hold the water with their hands and feet so they can move through the water and eventually get their mouth out of the water for a breath.
