Made a booking on a Friday night for a birthday. Staff was attentive and was available when required. Service was great. We ordered crab noodles, wagyu hot plate, seafood pot and other small dishes to share. When the bill came, they've triple charged us and they had only rectified it when we questioned about it. Cutting the cake was free of charge and BYO wine has a corkage fee of $10.
Its been a long time since I've been into this all time famous Shark Fin House in chinatown. I use to remember how good it was to eat here when my parents took me when i was younger. But as i visited this time round i must say it just all seem average. Maybe its better for yum cha but dining in for dinner wasn't the greatest experience. Service was average and food was also average. Still busy and staff working hard. Not as good as i remember but good to see the business still alive.
The standards have lowered since my last visit which was year ago. Portions have become smaller and keeping the same price. Customer service is almost non existent. As soon as we sat down, the waiter left us and did not come back to take our orders. They are brisk with taking orders and also taking out or meals. Prefer going to other Chinese restaurants around the area for cheaper meals.
