What an awful experience. Used a benchtop material we hadn't approved (despite us emailing numerous times to see samples). So he was very upset when we rejected it on the day of installation. We got given no notice that they were coming to install one Saturday and just expected to drop everything and be on-site. We had paid him a 50% deposit stupidly so had to go ahead. It was only completed many weeks later, inconveniencing other trades and the tenants. We found that using Slimline was a very unpleasant experience and would not recommend this company.
I would not recommend this using this business. I wanted a very simple wooden frame built around where my microwave sits above the stove. It took over a week for him to arrive and do the measurements (after being constantly stalled). The frame was built and installed only for us to find that we could not fit our microwave back in! He had incorrectly measured the dimensions. Quite shocking given that this is a basic requirement for a carpenter/cabinet maker. Was also very rude to me on the phone when I pointed out his mistake and asked for my money back.
I would not recommend using this business. I used the business for cabinet work and splash backs and had a poor experience. Cabinet work was very good, but the splash backs I was provided with were poorly fitted and an inappropriate adhesive used, causing the painting to bleed. I had to have the splash backs removed within a year. I obtained two independent reports (from a builder and glacier) confirming that the workmanship was poor and that an incorrect adhesive and poor baking was causing the paint damage. However, despite this, management would not refund more than 40% of what I paid for them as they denied any poor workmanship!!! I learnt my lesson and had some new splash backs provided by a professional glacier. I lost over $1,000 through this experience and was left extremely disappointed.
